Scott ArboretumThe Scott Arboretum, the 300-plus acre campus of Swarthmore College, exhibits over 4,000 kinds of ornamental plants, displaying the best trees, shrubs, vines, and perennials for the region.

The Arboretum's gardens are uniquely set amidst a busy college campus. Our gardens and areas of special interest include: Dean Bond Rose Garden, Winter Garden, Theresa Lang Fragrance Garden, Crum Woods ,and more. Our prominent collections include flowering cherries, conifers, magnolias, maples, lilacs, native azaleas, oaks, tree peonies, witch-hazels, rhododendrons, viburnums, and hollies. The mission of the Arboretum is to display plants suited for home gardens and to educate the public.

Open from dusk to dawn, 365 days year. Admission is free.
